My passion for photography began in high school as I watched a black & white photograph appear in a tray of developer. That passion intensified after I had children....I felt like I could never take enough photographs of them. As they grew and seemed to find a way of disappearing when I took out my camera, I turned toward the world around me...scenic Cape Cod, flowers in my garden, and everything else that caught my eye.

In 1994, I sought formal training at the Rhode Island School of Photography, where I graduated with the highest award - "Best Portfolio". Since then, I've continued with my photography education through seminars, events, and competitions sponsored by my local and regional professional photographer assocations, including the New England Institute of Professional Photography. In February of 2007 I received 1 blue and 2 red ribbons at the Professional Photographers of Massachusetts Photographic Print Competition. Recently I became a Certified Professional Photographer after passing a comprehensive test and submitting real customers' images to a panel of professional photographer judges for review and approval.
