Most of you will be graduating this weekend, so I thought it would be a great time to show you all off!  Thank you for selecting Cassandra’s Photography to take your senior pictures – it was an honor to meet all of you, to get to know you, to laugh with you, and to hear your dreams and aspirations.

Presenting Cassandra’s Class of 2010 High School Seniors:

It was a ‘Walk in the Park’ session for Stefan from Plymouth South.  Stefan is the star running back and Captain for the Plymouth South Panthers.  And I really mean star!  Here is he is with his game ball for rushing for 180 yards and three touchdowns in a game win against E. Bridgewater.  He was so proud of his accomplishment – rightfully so!:

And it gets better!  He scored four touchdowns and ran for 260 yards in the Homecoming game win against Sandwich last week.  Your rock Stefan – Congratulations!  I really need to get to a South game soon!

We had a spectacular evening for photographing Hieu from Plymouth North, who plays both football for the Eagles.  It was also a couple of days after he was named ‘Player of the Game’ when he rushed for 118 yards at the game against Nauset.  He’s also on the wrestling team, and confesses that he plays football just to stay in shape for wrestling.  He’s also hoping to pursue a career in the medical field.  Here’s a sample of images from his senior portrait session:

We had spectacular weather and spectacular skies for Amanda’s high school senior portraits.  I hope this weather lasts! Here’s a few of my favorites…This one was as much about the sky as Amanda.  It was so gorgeous  – and so is Amanda!

Taila, who is in the cosmetology program at Plymouth South High School, is the first awesome senior to brave the sunrise session this year. She is so photogenic and I loved the way her hair blew in the wind.  Here’s a sneak peek at her session:

Alisia came up from New Bedford for a beach portrait session for her senior pictures.  She attends “Bristol County Aggie”  where she is in the Large Animal Science program- she gets to ride horses during school!  She’s also on the track team and plays basketball.  Despite the program she’s in now, she really wants to be a Marine Biologist.

Another beautiful evening at the beach greeted us for Taylor’s session.  A few bugs greeted us, too – which was strange as I hadn’t noticed any for a few weeks. Though sometimes when I’m behind the camera I sort of block out everything else, and I’m concentrating so much on what I’m doing, I don’t notice other things, like bugs, waves, onlookers, people making bunny ears behind me…things like that.

Here’s a few of my favorites of Taylor – she too brought just-right clothing choices – I’m loving all the colors the seniors are using this year!

My 3rd 2-for-1 session in a row.  And more absolutely stunning eyes!  Mary & Rachael have been friends since elementary school, and they even work together at the same place.  Here’s a few of my faves from their session:

Weird weather evening! Allie & Melissa from Pembroke High drove through a rainstorm coming down Rt. 3 for their senior session.  It wasn’t raining yet at Scusset, and it was actually pretty nice but some ominous-looking clouds were on the horizon. The wind picked up a bit, and the sun kept peeking out from the cloud bank, then it got really dark – then the clouds moved away to give us a glimpse of the sun setting. Then it started raining just as we were finishing up.  Portrait sessions at the beach are always an adventure!

These two girls had such beautiful color eyes and the overcast skies actually bring the color out more than a sunny day does!

I traveled to Justin’s family cottage in Popponesset for a 2-for-1 senior portrait session  with his friend Tadhg.  They all come from way up in Georgetown, MA but spend a lot of the summer at the Cape.  Despite Tropical Storm Bill passing offshore the night shore, the weather was beautiful.  The surf was still pretty high and I actually went into the water to get the angle I wanted and was hit by a huge wave that pretty much soaked my pants. Camera was OK, though!  And the water was surprisingly warm – though I’m used to the Scusset and Sagamore Beach water, where there’s always ice cubes floating in it.
